The game was my attempt to fully try a solo game in under one day and for the 'Mini Game Jam 177' themed around papercraft with the limitation of 'secrets'. I was very interested in participating to challenge myself and to engage with the visual theme and style as I was a very big fan of the look and wanted to test my artistic abilities.
I wanted to tie this jam project to my previous worlds and since I had something in mind before the jam began I concepted how having a papercraft spin-off of 'Drawn Out' would look like and I based it on 'Paper Mario' and the results looked great, and very similar to the source material and texture of a papercraft setting. The art style and creation of the presentation, shadows, paper and look were the main focal point and were very successful parts of the released game.
The game was meant to be very small in scope therefore the entire concept for the mechanics had to be reduced to a simple button press, relying on the players precision and reaction time as the main challenge in the released version.
The ties and process making this game was rather quick and goes to show that if there is a steady idea having it produced is a matter of vision, and I do plan on continuing the development of ideas like this to expand my library and the stories of the worlds I create for the games I make and play!
