This game was made for the 2024 Global Game Jam which had the theme "make me laugh". The general process of generating this idea consisted of us sitting down, figuring out some funny things that make games funny and boiling it down, to a little bit of frustration, a pinch of unpredictability and a smidge of familiarity. All of these aspects together to bring a funny twist on a game known worldwide.
There was a rougher time getting used to the workflow however using Blender and creating the 3D assets for the game including the stages, clubs and balls for the game was a very interesting job to tackle, communicating with the team for feedback and iteration was very common in this game jam and reworks of assets were frequent despite the move from 3D assets in blender to the boundaries in the Unity engine that we used to make the final game.
In the end this game did get published in time and was timely despite the hurdles during development and I did learn a lot from the team including the skills necessary to build an efficient pipeline for a 3D physics-based games which need harmony between the programmer, asset builder and manager for the system. You need to know what to do and with this jam we came in prepared and yet left with new things learned and attained.
